A practice built around progress.

Dr. Catlett has dedicated his surgical career to one thing: helping people move again without pain. As a hip and knee replacement specialist, he offers a full spectrum of joint replacement options — from minimally invasive anterior hip approaches to robotic-assisted and computer-navigated procedures — guided by the principle that the right technique for each patient is the one that gets them back on their feet fastest.

Dr. Catlett completed his adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina, one of the country’s leading programs for joint replacement innovation. His training immersed him in the latest advances in minimally invasive surgery, anterior muscle-sparing hip replacement, and technology-assisted joint reconstruction. Before Duke, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency and medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin — making him Austin-educated and Austin-committed.

His approach in the operating room is precise and evidence-based. Outside of it, he’s a committed golfer, a devoted Longhorn fan, and any activity his kids let him tag along with — someone who understands firsthand what it means to want to stay active.

Dr. Catlett sees patients who want an expert, not just a surgeon.
